Fall 2026
Who is Wolfpack adding players for right now?
Fall 2026 roster openings are available now for boys in grades 6–8.
When is practice?
Once a week: Thursdays 5:00–6:30 PM. The first practice is Thursday, October 8.
Where do you practice?
At the Wolves’ Den in Pembroke, MA.
When and where are the games?
Fall games are four tournament weekends:
- BEAST of the East · Oct 17–18 · Multiple locations · Metrowest/South Shore, MA · Event page for BEAST of the East on the organizer’s site (opens in a new tab)
- Halloween Spookfest · Oct 31–Nov 1 · Multiple locations · Metrowest/South Shore, MA · Event page for Halloween Spookfest on the organizer’s site (opens in a new tab)

The organizer sets the gyms and game times, and we share them with families as soon as they’re published.
What kind of basketball is this?
Competitive youth basketball: weekly practice plus tournament weekends, with a focus on effort, defense and team basketball. See how we play.
Playing for Wolfpack
Do we have to live in Marshfield?
No. Wolfpack is centered in Marshfield, and players from nearby South Shore towns who are a good fit for the team are welcome. Once a player joins, they’re part of the Pack.
Is this club or tournament basketball?
Yes — competitive youth basketball close to home: weekly practice plus tournament weekends in the region, with a focus on development, defense and team basketball. Players get real reps without leaving their basketball community behind. See how we develop players.
Can my player play with friends?
That’s a big part of Wolfpack. Groups of local players get to keep playing, developing and competing together across seasons — and friends and teammates of current players are always welcome to reach out.
Does my player need to be an elite player?
No. You don’t need to be an elite player. We’re looking for players who love basketball, want reps, work hard, are coachable and play for their teammates.
What do coaches look for?
Effort, competitiveness, coachability, current ability and potential, and being a good teammate. Roster fit matters too.
Is playing time guaranteed?
No. Playing time isn’t guaranteed — it’s earned in practice and in games, and the standard is the same for everyone. Wolfpack promises the work and the environment — not a roster spot, a starting role, playing time or results.
My player plays football or on another club team. Can they still play?
Yes — reach out anyway. Fall Wolfpack is built to fit around football, other club teams and other commitments.
Do we have to commit to every tournament weekend?
You don’t need to commit to every weekend before reaching out. Share any conflicts on the interest form, and program staff will talk it through with you.
Joining
What does it cost?
Contact Wolfpack for current-season details. The quickest way is the interest form — program staff follow up directly. You can also email Wolfpack Basketball at info@wolfpackhoops.co.
Does submitting the interest form guarantee a spot?
No. The form tells us your player is interested. It isn’t a commitment for your family, and it doesn’t guarantee a roster spot — roster fit matters.
What happens after we submit?
Your submission goes only to Wolfpack program staff. They review it and follow up about the opportunity, the schedule and next steps.
What if my player is in a different grade?
Fall 2026 openings are for grades 6–8. Wolfpack can add teams for other grades when there’s enough player interest, committed coaching and the right fit — so tell us about your player anyway.
What about Spring 2027?
Spring 2027 information will be posted when plans are finalized. You can join the interest list now.
Coaches, families & community
I’d like to coach or help start a team. Where do I start?
On the Help Build the Pack page. New teams need committed coaching, enough player interest, a good fit with how Wolfpack plays, the program’s youth-safety expectations and the right operational fit — and not every proposed team is approved.
We’re a current Wolfpack family. Where do we find updates?
In the Wolfpack Team Community (opens in a new tab). For current Wolfpack players and families. Sign-in required.
What should parents know?
Support the team, let players play, let coaches coach, and praise effort and decisions — not just points. It’s all on the For parents page.
Are player names or photos posted on this site?
No. Player names, photos and family information are never published on this site.
I have a different question.
Send it through the comments form, or email Wolfpack Basketball at info@wolfpackhoops.co.
