Wolfpack Basketball

Program

For parents

Wolfpack is built on development and toughness. We focus on growth, work habits, long-term improvement — and having fun.

What we ask of families

How families help

Support the team

Cheer for every player and every hustle play — the rebound, the stop, the dive on the floor. Wolfpack is a team first.

Let players play

Mistakes are part of learning the game. We would rather see a confident decision that doesn’t work than a player afraid to try. Mistakes are OK; standing still is not.

Let coaches coach

During practices and games, players should hear one set of instructions — from the bench. Competing directions from the sideline make decisions harder, not easier.

Praise effort and decisions

Notice the rebound, the stop, the screen, the extra pass and the talk on defense — not just the points.

Help them handle adversity

Bad calls, missed shots and tough losses happen. Help your player learn from it, respond and move on to the next play. Emotion lasts one second; the response lasts the possession.

Communicate directly

Questions or concerns? Talk with us directly and respectfully — at a calm moment, not courtside.

A team you get to know

Wolfpack is based around Marshfield, with teammates from nearby South Shore towns. Players grow up together, families get to know each other, and everyone who joins is part of the Pack — season after season.

What you can count on

What players get

Real coaching
Fundamentals, team concepts and the habits behind them — taught, repeated and expected.
Competitive basketball
Tournament weekends that test you and show you what to work on next.
Meaningful reps
Practice reps every week and game reps on tournament weekends.
Purposeful practice
Every practice has a plan, and every drill has a reason.
Clear expectations
Everyone knows the standard: effort, defense, rebounding and taking care of the ball.
Team basketball
We play for each other: the extra pass, the help, the celebration.

Wolfpack promises the work and the environment — not a roster spot, a starting role, playing time or results.
